Let me review your Web siteDo you have a blog or a Web site? (OK, a blog actually is a Web site, isn’t it?)

Would you like to improve it? Would you like to get higher rankings at the Search Engines? Would you like to grow your Internet business? Would you like to make more money online? (Silly question, huh?)

This is your chance… :-)

I’m going to review one Web site, for free.

There are tons of Webmasters making a bunch of mistakes when it comes to putting up a Web site and building a thriving Internet business. Whether they just got started or are on the Net for a couple years already, many of them simply have bad habits.

Usually, I don’t do site reviews. It takes quite some time to give a solid thorough site review, one where the reviewee gains the most rewards.

But I have the time of my life these days. :-)

That said, it’s time I pay forward what I received. Yes, we gonna have a mini-contest, sort of.

Here’s what you wanna do…

Instructions

  • Post a comment to this entry
  • Give the URL of the Web site you’d like me to review
  • One URL per comment. If you want to nominate more than one Web site, submit another comment.
  • No sales letters
  • Give the top 1-3 things you want to improve
  • Give the main goal you have with your Web site
  • Give your real name (Your artistic name is OK, just not a “keyword name,” if you know what I mean…)

I’m going to pick one lucky winner. I’m going to do my best to post the review on the next day after pickup.

NOTE: Submit your request IMMEDIATELY. Most likely, I will pick a winner sooner rather than later.

Good luck! :-)

I didn’t get the self promo part , I can nominate my own site please review http://rumblinglankan.com , otherwise please review slblogs.org , its a blog syndicator and the owner was nice enough to add my blog.

  2. Hey Marcus thanks for the offer.http://potpolitics.blogspot.com
    I’d like to improve visitors
I’d like to hone in on some direction?
I’d like to make some money not a lot but a few dollars would be cool
    Thanks

ps I really think of this site as a respository of all my ad codes
that I can easily go into and copy into other sites etc so I know it’s
ad heavy, that’s no excuse for a sloppy page.

  3. I’d love to have a review of http://www.environmentastic.com

I would like to improve the layout of the site, meaning I’m not married to the design, or even the idea of having three columns. Additionally, I’d like for the site to cash-flow, so some ad space would be great – ultimately I’d like to have direct-sale ads from environmentally-friendly companies on the site. Essentially, I want to make it more pleasing to the eye than it currently is.

My main goal for environmentastic! is for it to become a green portal – making it as easy to find green products, ideas, and actions as it is to find conventional products at WalMart, Target, or Meijer. I want visitors to find what they are looking for, and for the site to make money while I’m at it!

    Namaste,
    A. Caleb Hartley

  4. I would absolutely love a review of my site that I have created and dedicated to all women who are, or wish to be mothers.
I would like to improve traffic
I would like to increase reader interaction
I would like to increase my income

I am fairly new to the whole world of blogging and would truly appreciate any help and/or advice/criticism that I can get.
    Thank you for your consideration!

    Hi Marcus,

Thank you for your generous offer and I’m hoping that you could consider helping my website, Ready To Be Rich (http://readytoberich.blogspot.com) to [1] get more traffic from my target market, [2] improve the site layout so that my advertisement and sponsor links are in optimized locations and yet, they will not obstruct and diminish my content’s readability and finally, [3] encourage other bloggers to talk about my articles in their site so that I can increase my inbound links (and consequently, my visitors)

I have decided that my primary goal for my website is to be one of the best online resource for entrepreneurship and personal finance in my country, the Philippines. My target market would be Filipino young urban professionals who want to quit the “rat race” and achieve financial freedom. In line with this, I’m likewise hoping that my content can someday be published as a book. Additional goals would include being able to earn a good and steady income from advertising and affiliate programs.

    Thank you very much,
    Fitz

I’ve only been blogging my life and etc… of a work at home mom on http://www.madwahm.com for a short time now. I’d like to improve my readership.

I’ve been working from home and online for years with business websites – this is my first attempt at something personal. I want to provide useful, witty and fun info and insights to all the stuff I know and know how to do.

I’m having trouble separating business with personal and could use your help and advice as to how to go about blogging that will attract other work at home moms.

Thanx-a-million for your time and consideration, regardless! :)

  9. Tim says:

Well how can I pass up an offer like this!

I would love a review of my Affiliate Marketing Blog at http://www.yimto.com

A few things I would like to improve are:
    – Read rates; my CTR to read a full post are a bit low. However, perhaps I should eliminate teasers?
    – Affiliate exposure. Are my reviews and promotions getting enough exposure?
    – Other monetization? I am now starting to get more popular, but I do not have ads or anything like that. Is it time to cash in with other monetization methods?
    – Increase RSS Subscribers, that’s always nice :)

My blog is all about helping others with affiliate marketing. It’s about my journey to riches on the net, and I pass along as much of the knowledge I acquire as possible. You can always read more on my about page.

Anyways, I think it could be time for my blog to take the next step up the blogosphere ladder, and any tips would surely be appreciated :)

Thanks for considering my blog, and congrats on becoming the new most popular Entrecarder :P

Thanks for running the contest, Marcus. I’d love to have a review of
    http://achingdebts.com

The main goal of my site is to keep my focus on my budget aside from that, it’s on personal finance from a budgeting, debt reduction, and right now survival.

I’d like to improve traffic to it and monetization. The traffic that I do get tends to stick around for a few minutes. Eventually, I would like to do away with adsense all together but I am going to have to increase revenue in some other way first.

Additionally, any design recommendations would be appreciated although I’m pretty hopeless at CSS at the moment.

Thanks again for the contest and for considering my blog.

  14. Pam Hoffman says:

Very Generous Marcus, Thank You for this opportunity!

    I have a blog:

Internet Marketing Seminar Listing Service by Pam Hoffman
    http://seminarlist.blogspot.com

The main goal of my blog is to List All LIVE! Internet Marketing Seminars in the world. I have over 100 scheduled in my database ready to go for 2008.

I think it is very evident when you go to the blog. I have had some folks wonder what the blog is all about. Not sure what to do about that…

I’ve been running it for almost one year. I get a lot of feedback on my photo – I know about that already, and I have an idea in mind for the fix.

I’m thinking I’ll get several photos lined up in a post and have my visitors vote on one (or none!).

I’d really like some feedback on the ‘template’ I guess it’s called. I wanted to keep it simple so that the message gets thru. I like a clean look. I think I could do better. I’m open to suggestions.

If you could please also comment on the organization of things like the sidebar area. I wanted to mix it up with text then graphic then text then graphic and so on. Is this a good idea? Is there a better way?

Then, too, I really need help with monetizing the blog.

Maybe that isn’t quite within the realm of this conversation but, hey, I’m really interested.

Thanks again, I really appreciate all your help and support!

    Pam Hoffman

  15. Ok, I’ll bite.

On a more serious note I’m just curious to see how you feel my 10 years on net experience could be better used on my latest (abd still brand new) blog.

    Thanks.

I would like our site reviewed.

We are a news & gossip site. We have 4 contributers.

We would like to lower our bounce rate…readers come for one article, read and comment then leave.

We would like to build a community of readers.

We would like to tweak the design a little, while still keeping the offbeat feel of the site.

I am a rookie blogger and designer of which you can tell by the look of the site. Since most of the people I know are not really into this blogging thing so its hard to get advice or feedback. So I am hoping if you could give me any advice, feedback or criticsm. Any will be greatly appreciated.

Improvement #1 – I would like to boost readership. I have spikes here and there, but I have not seen steady growth.

Improvement #2 – I would like more visitors to come back and read the site again. At least 90 percent of my daily visitors are brand new to the site.

Improvement #3 – I would like to boost my Adsense revenue

My main goal is to bring the site to the point that I have enough readers to attract real ad revenue.

This is a neat idea, Marcus!

  24. LeisaWatkins says:

First of all, thank you for your generosity of time. Time is a valuable commodity and we are grateful for your willingness to share it with one of us.

The website I would love for you to review if http://blog.leisawatkins.com.

My primary goal for my website is

    1. First and foremost – To help others. I am hoping to help others not only cope, but overcome depression and such. I hope to inspire others to reach for the best in themselves and to believe that they can accomplish much, in spite of life.
    2. Develop a name list that I can use to later publicize a book and other ventures I am working on. One of them being art and using art as a form of therapy, and recovering from trauma. I would like to earn some money from it eventually, even now would be good.
    3. A healing medium for me. Journaling and blogging for me is a form of therapy. Knowing that the things I have learned can perhaps help others is healing. Also, it holds me more accountable for my healing.

What I would like to improve on:

    1. Reaching a broader base. I feel I’ve had fairly good with the limited market that has found the blog thus far. But the blog is still fairly new and most of my traffic comes form one primary source, Entrecard.
    2. Increase subscriber count.
    3. Develop long-term relationships with my readers.

    Thank you!

    Leisa
