Alexa Changed Its Ranking Algorithm

While I was eagerly checking and waiting for my blog to break Alexa’s 50,000 mark (so I can celebrate this with you,) I found out Alexa changed its Ranking algorithm tonight…

My blog’s Alexa Rank now dropped from 51,059 down to 174,666!
However, this will NOT hold me back from doing a party contest with you! I invited the Who’s Who of Entercard and some of my friends, and they are eagerly waiting to party with each other. Heck, they contributed grant prizes worth $6,000+ and more than 50,000ec! So…
Watch out for my announcement post! I’ll just have to reword a good deal to make it fit the current situation… ;-)

Top 50,000 Is Approaching, Next Party Is Coming!

The Alexa Top 50,000 is very, very close. I can smell it already.
It is approaching in big steps and I seriously think of throwing another party. Well, perhaps even a contest!
Now, since I would like YOU to benefit from such a party or contest the most, what would YOU like to see being offered in the next party? Or would you even aim for a contest? If so, what would you like me to offer in a “Hochstadt.com Contest?”

Third Month Results

It’s that time again. Let’s take a look at last month’s figures…
March was another month with astonishing results. My blog continues to grow on an exponential rate and more and more other blog owners link to mine. This tells me that I provide quality content (always good, huh?) which helps growing YOUR Internet business.

Can you do me a favor? Would you please download & install the Alexa Toolbar (or the SearchStatus add-on if you’re using the Firefox browser,) and then visit his Internet business blog so we get his Alexa ranking above my own again, where it should be…
Not only for that, his blog is also a must read & bookmark since he offers top notch advice & tutorials on how to build a thriving Internet business.

Alexa Top 100,000 In 66 Days

Just noticed my blog now belongs to the Top 100,000 sites worldwide according to Alexa. In the toolbar, it may still display the old 3-month average I posted yesterday, though on their Web site it shows the new 3-month average of 99,455!
This is the result of my efforts of only 66 days—my first 66 days blogging, and I’m NOT a full-time blogger! (Can you believe it?)
As a side effect, now I’m entitled to teach others how to increase their site’s Alexa Ranking, catapulting it to Alexa’s VIP arena. :-)
The good thing about being in the Top 100,000 is that the Alexa data are now more accurate. Their data more or less match my Google Analytics stats.
The main “cause” for this success is certainly Entrecard and the fact that my Internet business blog is considered as the most popular among its entire community of 5,000+ high quality blogs.
With that being said, I’m going to throw a little party by giving away 100ec (ec = Entrecard Credits) to EVERYONE posting a comment to this blog post (and perhaps digg and/or stumble? :-)
If you are not a member yet, I or my assistant will get in touch with you soon and send you the credits to the e-mail address you provide when posting your comment. Second Month Results

It’s getting tough at times.
Multitasking definitely does not count to my strengths. The last five days required me to manage a bunch of multiple tasks at the same time. This made me realize (again) how well so many women have mastered this skill since their birth. :-)

Top 4 On Google In 43 Days

My blog is #4 on Google for its main keyword internet business after only 43 days.
Yes, you read that right.
If you ever researched keywords and/or markets and niches, you probably know that internet business is a highly competitive niche market. Yes, it’s not a niche, it’s a market. Some folks wouldn’t even consider entering that industry. They think they would never make it against the “big guys.”
I’m about to beat ‘em. :-)
As a disclaimer, when you go to Google you’ll likely see different results. The screenshot above (click on it to see the large version) was made on the Brazilian version google.com.br. On the U.S. American portal google.com, my blog is on #847.
Still, as you can see I compete against 179,000,000 (!) other Web sites, and I’m on #4. Cool… (It has a reason my Alexa Ranking in Brazil, as of today, is at 15,675…)
I’m going to share my tips and strategies that I think are responsible for this with you soon, so stay tuned.

First Month Results

One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to start a blog. I did launch a blog on the first day of January. That means we have a full month worth of blog statistics.
Entrecard was my #1 referrer in January, although I started with it on January 19th. In those 12 days I received 939 visitors from Entrecard. (482 in the first seven days.)
James Brausch was my #2 referrer in January. Thank you very much, James. I really look forward seeing you in March. Have lots of questions. ;-)
The #3 referrer was “none” as visitors either clicked on the link in the blog announcement e-mail, typed it in to the browser’s adress bar, or… well, you know it can have many origins.
Google was my… no, not my #4 but my #10 referrer for the entire month. ;-) However, in the first half of January Google was on spot #4.
Here are a couple other numbers…
- Alexa Rank: 337,618 (Dec. ~3,000,000)
- Technorati Rank: 166,367 (Dec. ?)
- Technorati Authority: 47 (Dec. ?)
- Google Page Rank: 3 (Dec. 3)

January Has Been FANTASTIC!

January has been fantastic in many ways. It’s the first month of this year and also my first month as a blogger. I’m going to disclose a few stats details tomorrow.
Meanwhile, let’s take a look at one measurement we use in Internet business: Alexa Ranking.
Compared to a post I made three weeks ago on how to increase Alexa Ranking, my blog’s Ranking climbed even more up within the last two weeks…
In only one month, the Alexa Ranking of this blog went from a mere 3,000,000- up to a more serious 337,618. This is a huge jump, isn’t it?
Again, I’m going to uncover the main source responsible for this tomorrow.
In any case, stay tuned as a lot of exiting things will happen in February (and in March, wow!). Since I dislike announcing things that aren’t done yet, you’ll need to wait until I actually deliver. ;-)
